Research
Contributing to the scientific knowledge base with cutting-edge research results is the key priority for IISM. Researchers at IISM publish in international top journals and conferences and are active members of global research communities.
IISM maintains unique research infrastructures. The DFG-funded Karlsruhe Design & Decision Lab (KD2lab) is one of the largest computer-based experimental laboratories world-wide. We provide excellent conditions and psycho-physiological sensors for experiments, particularly for research on human behaviour and decision-making in economics and NeuroIS.
Technological progress triggers an increasing shift towards a service society. The Karlsruhe School of Services (KSOS), as a research training group, addresses this shift in view of innovation, design, economics, analytics, and society. It stands for research, teaching, and a highly practical perspective on service research.
